Lukhotse donates food parcels to laid off workers

Lukhotse Savings & Credit co-operative donated food parcels to its members who are Happy Valley hotel employees. The members have been laid off from their workplace due to the Covid pandemic. 14 Employees received food parcels from the Sacco. Doreen Fakudze who spoke on behalf of the affected employees mentioned that the donation came at a right time when they needed it the most. She thanked the cooperative on behalf of all the workers.

Thandeka Motsa who is the Human Resources Manager at Happy Valley and also a member of the society said the gesture made by the society is commendable. She mentioned that the workers made the right decision by joining Lukhotse. She also thanked the Society on their forward thinking which meant they cared for the workers.

The Chairman of the society Mr Stephen Ntshalintshali mentioned that the Sacco  duly obliged to corporate social responsibility. He mentioned that his organization will would help others in society since the covid pandemic began, since it affected their members. He also mentioned that even though the food relief was just for one day , it would make a difference for the workers.
